The Orange Park Wrestling Program has long been one of the most storied and consistent programs in the history of Orange Park High School.  Under the watchful eye of Head Coach Chad Parker, Orange Park Wrestling Program is looking to build a consistent and winning program that produces champions on and off the mat.

THE PROGRAM

Our Mission:

It is the mission of the Orange Park Wrestling Program to create an environment that molds young men into gentlemen, scholars and athletes.

Orange Park Wrestling is based upon THE THREE RULES:

BE Respectful        BE A Student Athlete        BE On Time

BE RESPECTFUL:

This is as simple as it sounds.  Treat others the way you expect to be treated.  Do what your parents, teachers and coaches ask you to do.  THE FIRST TIME, with no whining or complaining.  Respect is defined in the Oxford dictionary as having due regard for the rights and feelings of others.  We expect everyone within our program to hold themselves to the highest moral integrity.  We expect excellence in all endeavors.  We expect the best effort imaginable in your daily life as well as in the practice room.  We expect class and gentlemanly behavior.  We expect you to be an example of what it means to be an outstanding citizen and wrestler.

BE A STUDENT ATHLETE:

Once again, an easy concept.  We expect all of our wrestlers to aspire and achieve the highest grades imaginable in their classes.  We have MANDATORY STUDY HALL during the fall and winter athletic calendars, and expect you to use your time wisely.  Aspiring to be a student athlete may require you to put in extra effort in a subject that you are not that comfortable with.  Realize that the higher the grades you receive in high school the more MONEY you are eligible to receive in the form of scholarships at the collegiate level.  This is your job, and realize that, at a minimum you must achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA to compete in eligible

BE ON TIME (NO EXCUSES)

We will always give you the time you are expected to be somewhere.  Be early.  Unless it is an act of God, never arrive late to anything.  This includes getting to class on time, study hall on time and practice on time.  It also means attending EVERY PRACTICE, unless, once again, it is an act of God.  No excuses.  Realize that any time you miss, in anything in life, you never get back.  Ever.
